Do choices actually matter in Little Misfortune? ›

Even on a first play-through, it is quickly apparent that supposed Choices merely lead to a predetermined outcome in different ways. For instance, if the player chooses to Pet the Puppy, it is killed by a falling branch. The alternate Choice of setting it free means it is killed by crows.

The Good Ending(True Ending): You get this ending by sparkling everything with glitter. In the end, a cutscene of the tree that's full of crystals is emptied from happiness and will be taken to Misfortune's mom.

Walk to the door to leave. Before leaving, the Narrator will prompt you to pick a toy to take with you. For achievement purposes, it doesn't matter which one you pick.

A full walkthrough takes about three hours, there is only one ending, and the choices have no real impact on the story, though we are told otherwise. The plot is also kind of predictable.

All human characters are depicted as wearing masks with smiles to hide their true, unhappy faces. There is a lot of propaganda around the town that tells people to smile and hide their pain.

He thinks of her as strong and fun and appears to reciprocate her crush on him, however his instructions forbid direct interaction between a Protector and a victim. Benjamin is loved by Misfortune as seen in a hallucination after she drinks Benjamin's herbal tea.

All the glitter spots must have sparkle again spread by Misfortune in a single playthrough in order for you to see the additional ending.

Unicorn (like Stony) will be challenged by the hamster to a dance battle, where a mini game will then appear. Misfortune can later buy Unicorn a skirt with reward tickets at Phantasmagoria.

If she chooses to set the dog free, it will follow her until she reaches the lake, at which point it will be snatched away by crows.

Misfortune got her Glitter from school. She sprinkles it on whatever or whoever she believes needs happiness, and in doing so, cheers herself up. To get the "Eternal Happiness" bonus scene at the end of the game, you have to use Glitter on each Sparkle hotspot.

What does the Little Misfortune ending mean? ›

This represents the Eternal Happiness Misfortune won and, in a powerful moment, Misfortune's mother removes the happy face mask she and all the other human adult characters in the game wear to hide their true feelings.

The final act of the story. A majority of the game spends its time following Misfortune as she chases down Benjamin, a fox hat the narrator constantly warns Misfortune about how evil he is. The twist finally arrives where the fox is actually the good guy, and the narrator is the villain isn't a surprise at all.

Little Misfortune 2 is not in production at the moment.

Hiro is last seen on the train with Misfortune towards the end of the game. While he sits across from Misfortune, he asks the question “Kiri wa dokodesu ka?” 「きりはどこですか？」 which translates to “Where is the fog?”, referencing Senersedee.

Voice or The Monster, is the main antagonist of the 2019 indie horror comedy video game Little Misfortune. He is a demonic parasite from The Beyond that sad*stically sustains himself by killing and feeding off of children, which he lures away with false kindness and games. He was voiced by Henrik Norman.

Stony can be chosen to be thrown at the show-winder in order to distract the guard at the Openfields Zoo, allowing Misfortune to sneak in.

Misfortune will then be able to retrieve the party hat from the "broken" puppy. If she chooses to set the dog free, it will follow her until she reaches the lake, at which point it will be snatched away by crows.

While the main story arch of Little Misfortune is a young girl's search for Mr. Voice's prize, a major underlying theme prevails: Misfortune represents that children are able to understand they are apart of and deal with dysfunctional families.
